Cleanup
[edit]This article needs desperately to be changed. The author is using register as though it were interchangeable with "tessitura", which it's not. Register is a function of mechanics and is used in all areas of music (exept singing) as such. In Singing the term "register" certainly has taken on that aspect, since a well-trained voice would not exhibit registers in performance, and the term is, in fact, very often used interchangeably (and in my opinion erroneously) and serves more to confuse than illucidate. I hope to be able to make these changes myself in the future, but I just wanted to put out the word for anyone able to make the changes too. divadiane 10:41, 2 Jul 2004 (UTC)
